Thanks to Skelly, it's now possible to play Metroid Prime Remastered with a Keyboard and Mouse on Yuzu and it feels great! (unfortunately it's not possible on Ryujinx as of now)
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVfgRrJXTEU
Instructions
Windows
Step 1. Download Pad Motion and Controller Profile (https://github.com/NarikoNep/pad-motion)
Step 2. Put the Contoller Profile under Yuzu\user\config\inputYuzu
Step 1. Start Pad Motion as Administrator
Step 2. On Yuzu go to Controller Settings and select the profile "metroid"
Step 3. Go to Advanced Controller Settings and select Enable Mouse PanningGame
Step 1. Start game
Step 2. Go to the game settings and change the following: Control Scheme to Dual Stick, and Camera to Gyro + Stick
Step 3. If you need to change the sensitivity you can do it by changing the Camera Gyro Sensitivity X and Y
Controls (You can change the binds to your own preference, you just have to be careful with a few specific ones)
WASD = Movement
Space = Jump/BoostBall
CTRL = Morph
Flick your Mouse up = Spring Ball
Left Click = Fire
Right Click = Lock-On
F = Fire Missles
1-2-3-4 = Change Visor
E + 1-2-3-4 = Change Beam
~ = Map
Enter = Pause Menu
I have spent a few good hours playing it with Keyboard and Mouse and even as someone that played competitive TF2 and then Overwatch, it's a perfectly okay experience. While it might not be perfect, it's far better than the alternative (for me at least) and it's the epitome of Emulation, the different alternatives for different people.
If you need any help let me know and I will do my best to answer any questions

Oof, the input lag is real... and I tested it with gsync!
The mouse feel overall is weird as well but you can't do much with stuff like this, there will be shortcomings.
It's playable overall if you aren't too picky.
I still don't think I would use a config like this since I'l rather use a gamepad + gyro since it's more responsive in comparison.
Is it possible to change the control binds btw? Missles on F and map on Enter isn't the best.

Makes sense to map the mouse to gyro.
Seems like lot less work was needed than woth the Wii trilogy, cause they had make the cursor centered there first.
If things like input lag get ironed out this will be nice for people that need or swear by mouse and keyboard, but really with the modern twin stick controls and lock on the game is pretty accessible now as it is.

You absolutely can yes, I have done some changes myself.
There is only a few ones that you have to be extra careful but you can always play around with it
The experience is no way shape or form perfect, but it's only a few days since the game has been out and it's already possible with Keyboard and Mouse, it's a big milestone. In the future it might be possible to actually mod the game (I know there is already some developments on the modding scene for Metroid Prime Remastered including a training mod), but until then this is a really good alternative

Doesn't it stutter like ass due to shader compilation the first time you encounter any new effect? Doesn't that detract majorly from playing on yuzu?

It's a different situation altogether, with Metroid Prime Trilogy there was actual modding happening, reverse engineering.
With Metroid Prime Remastered there has been none of that, it's just a software that allows the Gyro to be controlled by the Mouse.
With more time, modding should catch up, but it's still significant that there is an option now

With Vulkan shader compilation is mostly gone on both Yuzu and Ryujinx nowadays, yes you could get a stutter here or there (depending on how big the shader itself is)
